What
is Adobe Acrobat Reader and why do I need it?
Adobe
Acrobat Reader is a free program that every user should have. With
Acrobat Reader, you can read files that end in the .PDF extension
("PDF files"). PDF is Adobe's Portable Document Format
that allows people with different printers and systems to see an
article in its originally-intended format.
How do I find out if I already have Adobe Acrobat Reader?
If
you click on a .PDF file link in this or any site, you will either
a) see the file on your screen (if you have an Acrobat program)
or b) will receive an error message. If you get the error message,
you will probably need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader.
How do I get Adobe Acrobat Reader on my PC?
Adobe
Acrobat Reader is a free download. Click on the "Get Adobe
Reader" icon below. You will be redirected to Adobe's download
page. Read the instructions, then follow the three-step process
about halfway down the screen. After installing the program, come
back to the BHRM site and try clicking again on a .PDF link.

Why do things not look right on the BHRM (or any) web site?
Web
sites are not like regular paper documents. Sites can be viewed
with many different versions of many different software programs
in many different operating systems (e.g. Version 5.5 of Microsoft
Internet Explorer (IE) in Windows 98). While every web site creator
strives to make the site readable for all users, differences will
occur. It is always recommended that you have the most recent version
of your browser. If you find any problems with this web site, please
don't hesitate to contact the
webmaster.
When
I print pages from the BHRM website, the right edge of the page
doesn't print. Why?
The
web was not designed for printing. It was designed for on-screen
viewing. However, this site is currently designed to print on 8.5"
x 11" paper, but you may have to change your margin settings
in your browser to see the entire page. For most browsers, you can
change the margin settings in the File menu under Page Setup. Make
the left and right margins smaller. Changing the settings to 0.5"
left and right margins should work for most printers.
